Plug-in units / Brakes

ELECTROMAGNETIC PLUG-IN UNITS

These plug-in units convey big couples without sliding and are available with different types of teeth: trapezoidal, triangular, saw-tooth shape and in phase. Couplings from 10 Nm to 6000 Nm.

KEB PLUG-IN BRAKE MODULES

The electromagnetic plug-in brake modules are used where it is necessary to brake for a high number of operations. This allow to avoid the continuous starting and stopping of the engine with a clear advantage in terms of  energy consumptions, as the motor at starting absorbs from the network its maximum working power.
The coupling is normally put between the motor and, generally, a speed reducer.

ATEX BRAKES

This innovative COEL patented brake is a breakthrough in the field of ATEX engines.
Substantially it is a brake certified as a single component, which, instead of being fixed on the back side of the motor, is placed before the motor itself, which will have to be obviously manufactured in the B5 flanged version and, later, coupled to a transmission unit like a reducer. Contrary to common brake motors, ATEX COEL brakes do not require any maintenance, such as air gap adjustment and, therefore, are never involved directly in possible motor problems, making it much easier to replace the motor itself.

PLUG-IN UNITS AND PNEUMATIC BRAKES

The plug-in units and the electro-controlled pneumatic brakes are suitable for dry working;
Fed with compressed air, 5-6 bar supply pressure, they are designed to carry out an extremely high quantity of operation, keeping their reliability and duration unaltered throughout time.
Two series are available:
  • with tooth coupling;
  • with movable anchor plug-in, made up of friction material.
